Please join us in celebrating the 34th annual Schuyler County Italian American Festival on  August 2, 3, 4, 2013.  As always, the festival will be held at Clute Park, Rt. 414 in Watkins Glen, NY on the southern shore of beautiful Seneca Lake.

If you love festivals  .....then this is one you won't want to miss!  The Italian American people, known for their love of family, food and friends are the foundation and spirit of this festival.   

Our goal is to offer something for everyone with an emphasis on a family friendly experience.  Our staff provides a large, comfortable and inviting "beer & wine garden" where alcoholic beverages can be purchased and consumed. The beer garden extends to the edge of the entertainment tent and runs the length of the tent so all of the entertainment can be easily viewed from within.  The beer garden also includes a tent with seating for those who want to relax in the shade or enjoy a beverage with a meal from one of the many food concessions.  In order to assure a safe, enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere with the focus on family fun, outside alcohol is prohibited on the festival midway, the amusement area, and all areas outside the beer and wine garden.

Each day the 2013 event will include about 40 crafters and 20 food concessions; Amusement rides, games and concessions by Main Event Amusements out of Solvay, NY; Casino games; Bingo; and legal beverages.  Looking for a special gift or craft? Daily highlights include a Friday feature performance by MIDNIGHT SPECIAL  - "The Classic Rock Experience"  who will rock the sound stage in the evening. Festival visitors can come to enjoy this well known national touring band with FREE ADMISSION and NO COVER CHARGE.  On Saturday the bocce tournament begins at 10 a.m., One of the biggest parades in the region starts at noon, a Roman Catholic Mass will be held in the pavilion, a Tae Kwan Do exhibition will take place at the entertainment area, followed by a pasta eating contest which is open to the public; Shylock Foxx will rock the sound stage, and the best fireworks display in the area with a ground-shaking finale will round out the evening at 10:15 PM.  Sunday will feature amazing skateboard and roller blade stunts at the on-site skate park; a motorcycle show with prizes awarded for several categories, and music all day at the beer and wine garden.  Other special events will be added to the agenda as planning continues.

Except for the amusements, all of the entertainment is free.  There is no admission fee to the festival and parking on Clute Park grounds is only $5 per vehicle, with no time limit, so you can park all day and enjoy all the festival has to offer.  There are plenty of handicapped parking spaces available.
